A quick catch up right quick on what kechPhrase has been up to:
a) he’s signed with Kool AD through Veehead which is something going on under Das Racist‘s other half Himanshu‘s Greedhead.
b) he’s released his Kechstrumentals Volume 1 through Mishka (that link just reminded me, listen to Arrested Development from Kool’s 51 tape (prod. by kech))
c) he’s been networking like he knows how, heard he’s been talking to the likes of Hoodie Allen and through some type of ivy-league connect he’s been talking to Xaphoon Jones‘ brother.
Sincerely Yours was a bomb mixtape, it was the first thing Kechphrase sent to me. I felt like most of that mixtape/album was radio friendly (and when I say radio friendly I mean radio mind blowing), but anyway he’s talking about getting some singles radio to hit the airstream I couldn’t tell you which one I would pick. The Slight Progress EP will feed into a full album later this year expect to hear to some older cuts like “Fall Back” or “Closure” on it don’t be surprised though if they’re completely reworked. In the meantime stream what you can, I see these soundclouds come n’ go all the time.
