Last we had heard from Slow Magic he hit us with Feel Flows; then Giraffage released a wonderful rework. Then, Slow Magic decided on celebrating 11/11/11, which is funny because when I talked with him last he told me how “Feel Flows” was him acting on impulse. He said that he was ancy, but now reading this: (via SmokeDontSmoke) makes the whole thing seem obligatory to him.
“There is nothing unusual about the time 11:11 or the date 11/11/11, but our brains can’t help noticing the repeating digits, and seeing them as meaningful. “Numbers that are already significant to us, such as calendar dates that also coincidentally fall into an obvious pattern, become doubly significant. 11/11/11 is another example of people doing what people are cognitively prone to do: find significance.”
