Connor Youngblood – A Summer Song

15 Mar

This is the second time I’ve come across something from Dallas based Connor Youngblood, and now I’m twice as pumped as before. Like its title hints, A Summer Song is far more bright than his eerie last effort Monsters, and it moves along just the way any summer day should. Guitar loops and understated dub-by synths meld together with his seasonal lyrics and you get the feeling that everything has fallen into place right where it should have; it fits well for spring break but I can tell it’s going to crush in the summertime. I have a feeling we’ll see more from him soon. Check out all of his other work on his soundcloud.
